3 Tips for Organizing Your Video Library

The Video Library holds all of the videos you've ever recorded in, uploaded to, or received into the ThankView platform. Whether you're a small shop or a large organization, you'll want to be intentional about organizing your content so that it's easy to find when you need it.

Tip 1. Sort Videos into Folders

As part of your subscription, we've included the following folders:

  • Favorites: stores your frequently used or special videos. Simply click the Star icon of any video, and it will be stored here.
  • Replies: holds all video replies you receive.
  • Archive: allows you to move videos from your main page without permanently deleting them.

As a Pro or Premium client, you also have the ability to create your own folders, enabling you to sort your videos by campaign, department, team member, etc.

Tip 2. Tag Your Videos

You can create tags that are then searchable in your Video Library.  Video replies are automatically tagged with the name of the campaign they are associated with, so that's a great place to start. You could also create a tagging system based on class year, gift officer name, department, etc.

Tip 3. Create an Internal Plan

A lot of organization in your ThankView portal can be achieved by creating a plan that is effective for your team's unique situation and being consistent. Assign a member of your team to moderate and manage videos, establish a tagging system, and determine useful folders. Not only will your day-to-day use of ThankView be much simpler, but larger events, like Giving Days, will go much smoother since the plan is already in place.
